Terms of Service

Effective Date: November 1, 2025

These terms apply to all users using iTool (hereinafter referred to as “Service”).

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these terms is to prescribe the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Service and users regarding the use of the online tool services provided by iTool.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. “Service” means the online tool services related to PDF, images, text, and utilities provided by iTool.
  2. “User” means all users who use the Service in accordance with these terms.
  3. “Content” means all forms of information uploaded or created by users while using the Service.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These terms become effective by posting them on the Service screen or notifying users by other means.
  2. The Service may amend these terms as necessary within the scope that does not violate relevant laws and regulations.
  3. If the terms are amended, the Service will notify users of the changes at least 7 days before the effective date.
  4. If a user does not agree to the amended terms, they may discontinue using the Service.

Article 4 (Provision of Services)

  1. The Service provides the following tools:

    PDF Tools

    • PDF Merge: Combine multiple PDFs and images into one PDF
    • PDF Split: Split one PDF into multiple files
    • PDF Edit: Rotate, delete, and reorder pages
    • Delete PDF Pages: Remove specific pages

    Image Tools (under development)

    • Image Compression
    • Image Format Conversion (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, etc.)
    • Image to PDF Conversion

    Text Tools

    • Character Counter: Real-time character, byte, and word count calculation
    • Text Comparison: Real-time comparison of differences between two texts

    Utility Tools (under development)

    • QR Code Generation
    • Other convenience tools
  2. The Service is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in principle.

  3. The Service may temporarily suspend service provision in the following cases:

    • Regular system maintenance, server expansion and replacement
    • System upgrade for service improvement
    • Force majeure circumstances such as natural disasters or national emergencies

Article 5 (Use of Service)

  1. The Service can be used by anyone for free without membership registration.
  2. Users must use the Service only for its intended purpose and must not engage in the following acts:
    • Stealing or illegally using others’ personal information
    • Interfering with the stable operation of the Service
    • Uploading or distributing obscene materials, illegal materials, etc.
    • Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of the Service for commercial purposes
    • Other acts that violate relevant laws and regulations

Article 6 (File and Data Processing)

  1. Browser Processing Principle: All file processing is performed in the user’s browser (client).
  2. No Server Storage: Files uploaded or processed by users are not stored on the Service’s servers.
  3. Data Security: The Service does not access users’ files, and file transmission or storage does not occur.
  4. Data Responsibility: Users are responsible for the content and security of files they upload.

Article 6-2 (Contact and Feedback)

  1. Contact Form: Users can make inquiries about the Service through the contact form.

    • Information Collected: Name, email, inquiry content
    • Processing Method: Email transmission through Cloudflare Functions + Resend API
    • Retention Period: Deleted immediately after email transmission
  2. Feedback Form: Users can submit complaints and feature improvement requests on each tool page.

    • Information Collected: Email (optional), feedback content, feedback type
    • Processing Method: Email transmission through Cloudflare Functions + Resend API
    • Retention Period: Deleted immediately after email transmission
  3. Personal information collected during the contact and feedback processing is managed securely in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Article 7 (Advertisement Placement)

  1. The Service may place advertisements to provide free services.
  2. The Service is not responsible for damages caused by clicking on advertisements or advertisements.
  3. Currently provided advertisements:
    • Coupang Partners: We receive a certain amount of commission through product recommendations.
    • Google AdSense (planned): We plan to introduce it for advertising revenue in the future.
  4. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for cookie usage due to advertisement placement.

Article 8 (Restriction and Suspension of Service)

  1. The Service may restrict or suspend services without prior notice in the following cases:

    • Unavoidable circumstances due to maintenance or construction of service facilities
    • When telecommunications service providers prescribed in the Telecommunications Business Act have suspended services
    • Other force majeure circumstances
  2. The Service may restrict or suspend all or part of the Service if normal service use is hindered due to national emergencies, power outages, service facility failures, etc.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Service is not responsible if it cannot provide services due to force majeure such as natural disasters or equivalent circumstances.
  2. The Service is not responsible for service use disruptions due to the user’s fault.
  3. The Service is not responsible for loss of profits that users expect from using the Service.
  4. The Service is not responsible for the content, quality, or accuracy of files uploaded by users.
  5. Users are ultimately responsible for the results of the tools provided by the Service.

Article 10 (Copyright)

  1. The copyright of all content (design, text, scripts, etc.) provided by the Service belongs to iTool.
  2. Users may not use information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes or allow third parties to use it by reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or other means without prior consent from iTool.
  3. The copyright of files uploaded by users to the Service belongs to the users.

Article 11 (Dispute Resolution)

  1. The Service strives to reflect legitimate opinions or complaints raised by users and to compensate for damages.
  2. Matters not specified in these terms shall be governed by the provisions of relevant laws such as the Telecommunications Business Act, Framework Act on Electronic Commerce, and Information and Communications Network Act.

Article 12 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)

  1. Lawsuits concerning disputes between the Service and users shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. The court with jurisdiction over lawsuits between the Service and users shall be determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act.

Supplementary Provisions

Effective Date: These terms take effect from November 1, 2025.
